No Trikkes Allowed On Broadwalk (or other motorized vehicles)
Hollywood commissioners have approved a ban on motorized vehicles on the Hollywood Broadwalk
. Segways are excluded but the excessively fast stand up motorized Trikkes
are not. The primary concern is the safety of broadwalk pedestrians.
Mayor Peter Bober said "These things move really, really fast. Someone's going to get hurt eventually. I've seen these people flying. Who wants to dodge these Trikkes? People should not have to be unnerved by these things whizzing all around them."
The tentative ban could become law next month.
Officials will start with warnings until people get used to the ban. After that first time violators will face a $50 fine and repeat violators could see fines as high as $200.
